Born in 1966, Giovanni Manzo lives and paints in Naples, Italy. Known for his innovative style in which he combines the three artistic techniques of painting, graphic art and photography, Manzo is inspired by the real life and movement of the metropolises he depicts in his canvases. These three techniques play significant roles in his style, bringing movement to the canvases as no one else does.
Though he prefers to paint the charm of his native Naples, his desire to view the world through his eyes challenges him to paint the uniqueness of the worlds leading cityscapes. His hybrid style blends realism, impressionism and modernism into a focal painting. Manzo’s paintings, whether done in color or monochromatically relax and calm the viewers’ eye and mind as a reminder of places seen and to be seen.
Painting allows Manzo to convey a strong romantic view, while the photography and graphic art gives each canvas a contemporary flair while relying on realistic motifs for his inspiration. He has a distinct modern perspective of city life in a modern world.
