We are very excited that Mark Yale Harris’s sculpture Chaos has been selected for inclusion in the Southern Utah Museum of Art’s inaugural exhibit, First Peek. The show is open from June 25th to July 15th, 2016 and will feature a juried show of modern art.

Chaos has also featured in prestigious exhibitions at the Royal Academy in London, the Royal Scottish Academy, and the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art in California. Mark Yale Harris explains the piece as a representation of “The chaotic nature of love…representing the time in a relationship where it is difficult to distinguish one being from another.”
The Southern Utah Museum of Art (SUMA) is a single story, 20,500 sq. ft. museum organized into four components: the entry sequence, five gallery spaces, administration & education zone, and the storage and support area. There are movable walls which create flexibility for exhibits of different sizes. These galleries will host exhibitions from around the world, feature rotating exhibits from the permanent collections, and regularly exhibit work of the Southern Utah University’s Art and Design students and faculty.
